March 2026

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for praying! God has been answering your prayers faithfully. The few meetings I’ve had this year have each been a blessing, and I have been able to start filling up my schedule for the spring. Several new churches have also committed to both prayer and financial support. I’m so thankful for those who are willing take this step of faith with me and help bring me one step closer to joining the ministry of Bible translation full-time.

My first meeting of the year was with Temple Baptist Church in Richland, WA. I enjoyed reconnecting with Pastor Caleb and Laura Farmer, who were fellow classmates during my time at Maranatha, as well as getting to know the other leadership and their families. I also reconnected with several I’d known growing up and discovered a variety of connections with people I was not previously aware of. Since my presentation was during the evening service and my sending church does an afternoon service, quite a crowd of my friends and family also came to offer their support.

I also had a meeting with Bible Baptist Church in Selah, WA one the final Sunday of January. Though it was an entirely new church to me, I enjoyed learning a bit about the church history, meeting the people, and spending time with the pastor and his wife, who so diligently serve there.

The month of February has been quiet as far as meetings go, but I’ve passed the time making progress on consultant training. For one of my tasks, I watched a recording of the first linguistic workshop done with the Goga people, a language group in northern Myanmar. Unlike most language groups BI works with, this group had never tried writing anything in their language before and needed a lot of linguistic support to design their initial alphabet and practice writing words and eventually short stories in their language. Since first adopting the language in 2017, BI has helped the Goga people complete their primer, the first Old Testament Storybook, and they are currently in the beginning stages of translating the New Testament.

March 1, I presented at Nebraska Street Baptist Church in Port Orchard, WA. I appreciated getting to know the Swopes and the other church members, and had a wonderful time with the several ladies who housed me while I was there. Please be in prayer for my upcoming meetings this spring, as I travel farther out and will be away on longer trips to less familiar places.

Praise!
